Celebrating the best dining in Oxfordshire
Good Food Oxford will be championing sustainable food at the 2015 Oxfordshire Restaurant Awards sponsored by Hedges Law.
The winners will be announced on Tuesday 6th October at what will be a stunning Awards ceremony at Oxford Town Hall and tickets are still available to support your favourite restaurant.
The overall 2014 Restaurant of the Year title was awarded to Shaun Dickens of The Boathouse, Henley and a wide range of Oxfordshire restaurants are eagerly anticipating this year’s Awards, hopeful that they will be nominated as Oxfordshire’s best restaurant.
Three hundred guests will attend the stunning ceremony, organised by The In Oxford Group, publishers of Living in Oxford Magazine and B4 Business Magazine. Following a Laurent Perrier champagne reception, guests will be treated to a three-course gourmet dinner entirely prepared and served by 16 and 17 year-old students from City of Oxford College (part of Activate Learning). The students are all studying BTEC and NVQs in public services, travel and tourism and hospitality and catering.
Helen Brind, Head of External Development and Partnership at the College said: “Events like the Oxfordshire Restaurant Awards really do change lives. This event gives a unique opportunity for young people to demonstrate their talent and skills.”
The food will be supplied by Aldens, one of Oxfordshire’s oldest family owned businesses having been established in 1793. Guests will also enjoy wine supplied by Oxford Wine Company.
This is the 5th annual Awards and this year a new award, The Belmond Le Manoir Award for Excellence, will be presented to an individual or restaurant highlighted for their excellent work throughout the year.
Tickets are priced at £80+VAT and can be purchased through the Awards website or by calling The In Oxford Group on 01865 742211.
