Wolvercote Farmers Market have carried out price comparison research suggesting that the idea that Farmers Markets are more expensive than other shops is clichéd and out of date. Comparing like for like organic produce (as close as possible), the Farmers Market came out cheaper not just for veg, but also for meat and eggs, and savings on a basket of shopping came out at as much as £5.
