Grant funding opportunity for community services supporting Oxfordshire residents

Great news for community-based organisations in Oxfordshire!

A new grant funding opportunity is now available to help support residents and the wider community with the cost of living. This funding focuses on ensuring sustainable access to healthy, affordable food, specifically to support community groups with both cooking and healthy eating initiatives.

Key details:

  • Who Can Apply: Community groups based in Oxfordshire benefiting Oxfordshire residents.
  • Grant Amount: Up to £3,000 per group.
  • Application Period: Opens on 5th August 2024 and closes at 9am on 16th September 2024.

Purpose of the grant:

The funding, administered by Good Food Oxfordshire (GFO) on behalf of Oxfordshire County Council, is aimed at empowering local food organisations. It comes from the county’s Household Support Fund and is intended to help address the cost of living by providing resources for cooking and healthy eating activities.

GFO will be running two Guidance Workshops on 3rd September 2024, one in-person (10.30-11.30am in Oxford – book here) and one online (6-7pm – book here).

  • Decision Announcement: Early October 2024, by GFO’s independent Grant Oversight panel
  • Funds to be spent by: March 2025
