Good Food Oxford is excited to announce that we have a new team member. This week Fiona joined as the GFO Manager. Fiona will be working to support the GFO network members to collectively achieve our goals of improving Oxford’s food system to better serve communities, businesses and the planet. By supporting and showcasing the amazing work of our network members Fiona is working towards helping Oxford to achieve a Sustainable Food Cities Silver Award as well as delivering our Food Power Project.
Here is Fiona on her new role….
I am so excited to be part of this movement to help Oxfordshire meet the challenges we face in terms of health, sustainable livelihoods, food sovereignty and of course the climate emergency. My path to Good Food Oxford has involved life as a social worker, working in non-profit organisations as well as management consultancy. I have long-standing connections to Oxford from my heady days as a student and have now lived in the city for the last 8 years with my family. I am raring to go and looking forward to getting stuck into the challenges ahead at GFO and to meeting all the amazing network members.
