On
Monday 2nd December,
Low Carbon Oxford and
Cultivate will be hosting an information evening for people and organisations from across Oxford’s food system to discuss the creation of a city-wide sustainable food network.
The proposed initiative will be part of the national
Sustainable Food Cities Network led by the
Soil Association,
Food Matters and
Sustain, and supported by the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation.
Tom Andrews from the Soil Association will be presenting on how other cities have created highly successful cross-sectoral networks to advance sustainable food.
There will also be a presentation by
Ed Dowding of
FoodTrade, who will explain how Oxford can map its food webs as part of work to identify existing assets and resources for sustainable food within our community. This will be followed by discussion and next steps.
Please note: this event is now fully booked. To find out about the next event in the New Year or to get involved in any other way please contact
