Mpowa, in conjunction with our partners Green+ International is planning to establish an EcoFarm demonstration and training academy here in Bishopstone. We will run monthly seminars on regenerative agriculture techniques and processes, in exchange for labour on the farm, once established. Our mission is capacity building especially amongst the youth, university graduates, to inspire a new generation of leaders in sustainable agriculture.
Our pledge for 2023 is to establish the project and host the initial education seminars. Target is to reach minimum 60 local youth with free sustainability/EcoFarming classes and recruit volunteers to help with the project. Producing first vegetable crops will be 2024.
